Created in 1986, EURIS is an association which brings together the Footwear Research Institutes of 13 European countries.

The management of EURIS is the responsibility of the Steering Committee to which all the Directors of the Research Institutes belong. It is from among these individuals that the President is elected.

The President's own Institute is also responsible for the Secretariat.
